We are a New York City-based company with a passion for building beautifully crafted, richly appointed, technically sophisticated sound tools for creative minds. The company's product line includes a wireless speaker, headphones, earphones and accessories.

We are seeking a smart, talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician with substantial consumer electronics, consumer products or audio equipment experience. The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for establishing a productive and efficient repair and refurbishment operation, while contributing to product engineering and continuous improvement engineering exercises and customer service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, test, process and repair or refurbish incoming headphones, earphones and other products
  • Design and implement best practices and processes for efficient headphones testing and repair
  • Accurately log and capture repair and fault data on incoming products
  • Work directly with customers for (as necessary) extended support or troubleshooting
  • Assist in parts reclamations and inspections and preparations of b-stock goods
  • Perform basic inventory functions on inbound, repaired and b-stock goods
  • Develop and maintain testing and repair process documentation
  • Maintain a safe, clean and productive lap/shop environment
  • Potential for further work assisting engineering/design team in prototyping and models

Qualifications

  • 2 or 4 year certificate or degree from a technical vocational institute, engineering certificate or other technical program
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a mechanical development or technician role. Consumer audio/electronics experience a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience or interest in 3D printing and prototyping a big plus
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word for documentation purposes
  • Smart and independent individual capable of managing time, forecasting workload and efficiently using resources at hand to process inbound shipments and provide rapid customer response
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced startup culture
